Meet Dr. Mark Gaynor

Dr. Mark Gaynor founded Emerald Peak Health with a clear mission: to create a connected, evidence-based experience that helps people live stronger, longer, and better.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, where he studied Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at MedStar Health in Baltimore, Maryland. His career began at the bedside as a hospitalist, where he witnessed firsthand how fragmented and reactive modern healthcare had become, and how much better it could be.

Driven to change that, he earned an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver, combining medical insight with leadership strategy. As Executive Medical Director for Hospital Medicine at CommonSpirit Health, he oversaw operations for 11 hospitals across the Mountain Region, leading large physician teams and advancing programs in quality, performance, and physician engagement.

This experience gives him unique insight into how health systems operate and how to ensure his members receive coordinated, high-quality care. He leverages these relationships and expertise to advocate for his patients and streamline their healthcare experience across multiple providers and specialties.
